This is a great opportunity for a Procurement Assistant to join the Barchester Healthcare team and gain valuable experience in the hospitality sector. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days in the Warrington office and 2 days working from home. After a successful 6-month probation period, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete a fully funded Level 4 Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPs) Apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job:

  • Providing essential administrative support to the Hospitality Category Lead, focusing on the food and beverage, waste, and janitorial categories.
  • Resolving category queries, liaising with homes and hospitals.
  • Providing administrative support for meetings and projects.
  • Updating product and price files.
  • Attending business review meetings with suppliers.

Experience required:

  • The role would suit a graduate or a buyer with several years of procurement or administrative experience.
  • Procurement or Admin experience preferred, although a good standard of education and some work experience is acceptable.
  • Experience within Hospitality would be preferable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to speak to stakeholders and suppliers.
  • A calm approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Computer literate with a good standard of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
