The job role is for a Second Chef in a Care Home, working for Barchester, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. Main duties of the job:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus.
- Work with residents to tailor menus around them.
- Deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks.
- Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
- Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes.
- Create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
- Complete regular audits and manage stock control.
NEED TO HAVE:

- Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
- A good understanding of nutrition.
- Experience of working with fresh seasonal food.

- Good understanding of HACCP.
