We have a rare opportunity for an IT Security Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This is a vital position, which will ensure the information security of residents and colleagues across more than 250 care homes and hospitals across the UK.
As the Information Security Officer, you will help develop and maintain cybersecurity and privacy policies, while actively contributing to various team projects.
Requirements:- Experience in Information Security with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance
- Have knowledge of IT systems, networking principles, and security controls
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a proactive approach and drive to achieve
- Manages and prioritises daily tasks independently
- Help maintain and align cybersecurity and privacy strategy with business and regulatory needs
- Conduct risk, vulnerability, and penetration testing to address security gaps
- Help develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and standards
- Stay updated on cyber threats and enhance overall security posture
- Assist in managing security incidents and ensure prompt communication
- Link incidents to risks and policies to improve security
- Lead root cause analysis and capture lessons learned
- Communicate incidents, risks, and mitigations to leadership and stakeholders
- Deliver one-on-one and group cybersecurity training for projects
- Develop and publish training via the company platform
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity and data privacy training
- Provide InfoSec expertise across business projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance cybersecurity practices
