As Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead of a Barchester care home, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality care. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, take on leadership duties in their absence, help with care standards and motivate your team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure every resident enjoys the best possible quality of life, leading by example and monitoring standards through audits, supervised clinical practice and regulatory compliance. You’ll set high standards and develop and deliver strategies to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of quality care in the care home and assist the General Manager in leadership duties when required.
  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to provide resident-centred care and improve quality of life.
  • Monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checks of regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve care objectives and maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
  • Teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience helping residents with diverse health needs.
  • Experience managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
  • HR experience, knowledge of sales and marketing, understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and dedicated to delivering quality care in an engaging and energetic environment.
