As an Activities Lead at a Barchester care home, you will help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for the residents. You will be responsible for creating and updating the home's social media platforms, as well as devising imaginative, fun, and motivational activities to suit every interest and ability. This is an extremely rewarding role, where you will get to know the residents and their families to create tailored activity programmes focused on maximising their wellbeing, independence, and social engagement.

Main duties of the job include planning and executing a range of engaging activities for the care home residents. This includes using computer skills to work with the community engagement team, creating social media content, and organizing events and programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of the residents. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, a driven mindset, and the ability to inspire both residents and staff to participate in the activities, both within the home and in the local community.
