Ability to travel via car is essential for this position. Barchester are looking for a dynamic Apprenticeship Manager to lead the implementation of our Early Careers and Apprenticeship Programmes. This role will be key in developing the future workforce of our organisation. You will drive strategy, build strong partnerships with providers, and ensure that our programmes are inclusive, high quality, and fully compliant with funding regulations. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will support recruitment, enhance the learning experience, and work to continuously improve the delivery and outcomes of our apprenticeship and early careers pathways. Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience running apprenticeship and early careers programmes
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship funding and compliance
  • Demonstrable success in leading recruitment campaigns

  • A broad understanding of learning approaches and training design
  • Experience in the care or a highly regulated sector (desirable)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the rollout of Barchester's Apprenticeship and Early Careers strategy
  • Build and manage partnerships with training providers, schools, and colleges
  • Develop outreach plans to attract a diverse pool of candidates
  • Ensure compliance with apprenticeship funding rules and legal requirements
  • Work with internal teams to provide guidance on the recruitment of apprentices
  • Monitor programme performance through data analysis
  • Support line managers with coaching and guidance for apprentices
  • Represent Barchester at recruitment fairs and sector events
  • Evaluate and improve the quality of learning and development experiences
  • Provide insight and recommendations for continuous improvement
