ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Head of Housekeeping at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create the warm and homely surroundings that are so important to delivering quality care and support. Leading a team of housekeeping staff, you'll be expected to take a hands-on approach and actively participate in the day-to-day cleaning of the home. You will lead by example, demonstrating the high standards expected and ensuring these are consistently upheld across the team. You will be responsible for ensuring that every room and living space is maintained to the highest standard. The Head of Housekeeping role demands excellent attention to detail, but we will also rely on you to motivate and inspire your team to perform at their best. ABOUT YOU

Experience of housekeeping in a care home, hospital or hotel environment will be very advantageous for the role of Head of Housekeeping. We'll also look for a proven ability to lead and inspire a team and be able to actively participate in the day-to-day cleaning of the home alongside the housekeeping staff. A caring nature and good communication skills are important as you'll often come into contact with other members of staff, residents and their relatives.
