What will the role look like?

As an alcohol and substance worker and member of the Focused Intervention Team, you will be at the forefront of the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol service. Your role will be to work with service users who identify as having problems with drugs (predominantly non-opiates) and alcohol, to deliver appropriate interventions in a time-bound manner.

You will also be required to promote the service and communicate advice and information to the general public through coordinated attendance at a wide range of city-wide events, presentations to varied groups, one-to-one engagement, work within the night-time economy, and other public interactions.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking someone with experience working with individuals facing issues related to alcohol and drugs, and with effective intervention skills. The ideal candidate will be approachable, able to engage with members of the public in a one-to-one setting, and capable of managing a caseload of clients.
