BARBRI is seeking a legally qualified and detail-oriented Legal Editor to join our UK Learning & Content Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality legal education content that supports aspiring and practicing legal professionals throughout their learning journey. Working closely with Learning, Product, Operations, and external subject matter experts, you will ensure BARBRI's course materials remain accurate, engaging, compliant, and aligned with evolving legal practice and assessment requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for legal education, content development, and improving learner outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain course materials, assessments, and digital learning resources across BARBRI's UK product portfolio.
- Ensure all content is legally accurate, pedagogically effective, and aligned with BARBRI's editorial and quality standards.
- Review, edit, and quality assure materials developed by internal team members and external subject matter experts.
- Monitor regulatory, legislative, and assessment changes and proactively update content as required.
- Conduct legal research using authoritative legal resources and incorporate findings into course content and assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing products and support the development of new learning solutions.
- Utilise content management systems and digital tools to manage, organise, and maintain learning content.
- Analyse learner and client feedback and implement content improvements to enhance the learner experience.
- Provide subject matter expertise and support learner inquiries within areas of legal specialisation.
- Support course accreditation activities and contribute to regulatory submissions and reviews when required.
- Assist with the onboarding and quality assurance of freelance authors and content contributors.
- Contribute to product innovation initiatives, thought leadership content, proposals, and academic support activities as needed.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales or practicing Barrister.
- Demonstrated expertise in Wills & Probate, Tort, Trusts, Contract Law, Dispute Resolution, or related legal disciplines.
- Experience developing legal education content, including course materials, assessments, question banks, and e-learning resources for professional qualification and professional development programs.
- Strong legal research, analysis, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to varied learner audiences.
- Understanding of legal education, professional qualifications, and the needs of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional learners.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and content management systems.
- Familiarity with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or other legal research platforms.
- Ability to responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools to support content development and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience developing content for SQE preparation, professional legal qualifications, or continuing legal education programs.
- Prior experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or supporting legal learners.
- Experience working in a law firm, legal publisher, legal training organisation, or higher education institution.
- Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, or educational technology.
- Experience managing external authors, freelancers, or subject matter experts.
