Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Ecommerce Apprentice to join our Global Ecommerce team based at our Head Office in South Shields. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Ecommerce SEO & Content team and support the creation of engaging seasonal content, optimise on‑site visibility, and collaborate with teams across the business to strengthen our digital performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Select and edit key seasonal assets for use across regional sites using Adobe Photoshop
- Write and deliver seasonal product descriptions within set deadlines
- Support the Digital team with social‑first page builds
- Produce, proofread, and upload SEO‑optimised seasonal copy
- Conduct pre‑ and in‑season checks and site crawls to ensure product accuracy, content quality, and optimal customer experience
- Create, track, and monitor key advertising messages across the site, optimising visibility across priority categories using GA4, Google Ads, SEO Moz
- Support wider digital functions, including CRM
- Assist in initiatives to improve organic, paid search, Digital PR & affiliate visibility
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the business, upholding the Barbour value of achieve more together.
Skills and Experience:

- Creative and innovative - Has creative ideas to support business objectives.
- Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
