Legal for Lettings are a law firm that entered the market with a sole purpose of providing straightforward, fuss-free, and competitively priced legal services to landlords and their letting agents. The firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK’s largest tenant referencing provider in the private rented sector; Barbon Insurance Group, and a member of a fast-growing international insurance group PIB Group. Our team of experienced legal professionals specialise in resolving disputes between landlords and their tenants and providing innovative and affordable legal services.
This is a part-time position based on a 30‑hour working week. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients ensuring they receive a market leading service with the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will be helping landlords and their letting agents obtain possession of their rental properties and recover any money outstanding from their tenants.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and serve possession notices on tenants renting in England and Wales.
- Draft claim forms and particulars of claim for possession and debt matters.
- Send claim forms to court for issue.
- Prepare bundles for court hearings, liaising with your client and the agent attending court to ensure they have everything they need.
- Support the Senior Paralegals with the handling of defended litigation, by liaising with clients and their policy holders regarding the prospects of success in a case or the associated risks.
Qualifications:
- A passion for customer service.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literate – demonstrate use of MS Office.
- Rapport building skills to be able to speak with our customers and build relationships.
