Barber McLelland is working in partnership with a highly progressive firm of Chartered Accountants who continue to build an enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first-class service to many clients in a wide variety of trade sectors. The firm is seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join the team to support the Partners with the delivery of tax management advice and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients. A desire to contribute and to support the partners in developing the department is a key part of the role of Personal Tax Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Partners with complex tax work
  • Manage client relationships to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met
  • Deliver tax planning and advisory services for a varied client portfolio
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships through excellent advice and professional communication
  • Completion and review of personal tax returns
  • Coach and mentor tax employees, playing an active part in their career development
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the tax department is meeting commercial targets
