Barbaricum is seeking an Engineering, Scientific, Analysis, and Developer Support Specialist to provide technical engineering, scientific analysis, software development, and operational support for Department of Defense (Do D) programs.

The successful candidate will support research, development, testing, evaluation, and operational initiatives by applying engineering principles, analytical methodologies, and technical expertise to advance mission capabilities.

This position also supports knowledge management initiatives by maintaining secure information repositories and enabling collaboration across Government organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering, scientific, technical, analytical, and software development support for complex Government research, development, testing, and operational programs.
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical methodologies to support computer-aided design (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), modeling and simulation, instrumentation, experimentation, system testing, and operational analysis.
  • Develop software applications, analytical tools, and data-driven solutions that improve mission effectiveness and support technical decision-making.
  • Analyze and interpret technical and operational data to develop recommendations, evaluate system performance, and support capability development.
  • Design and implement instrumentation and analytical techniques to support experimentation, system evaluation, technology maturation, and product development.
  • Serve as a technical and operational advisor to Government stakeholders by providing expertise in capability development, systems engineering, and emerging technologies.
  • Apply knowledge of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) to support requirements development, operational planning, and concept refinement for emerging mission needs, including counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) and counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) initiatives.
  • Maintain and administer Government knowledge management portals across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments in accordance with security and information management requirements.
  • Publish, organize, and maintain technical reports, operational products, and mission documentation within secure knowledge repositories.
  • Coordinate with technical authors and subject matter experts to apply standardized metadata, taxonomy, keywords, and tagging to improve information discovery and accessibility.
  • Implement document version control and configuration management processes to ensure users have access to the most current and authoritative information.
  • Organize technical content into structured, user-friendly repositories that facilitate efficient information sharing and collaboration.
  • Monitor collaboration platforms, discussion forums, and knowledge-sharing tools to encourage stakeholder engagement and promote the exchange of technical information and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Government personnel, engineers, scientists, analysts, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technical solutions that support mission objectives.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, briefings, and presentations that communicate complex engineering and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable Government policies, security requirements, and engineering and quality standards.
  • Perform additional engineering, analytical, software development, and knowledge management duties as assigned in support of Government mission requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace
  • Minimum level of experience: 10 years
