The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

It is essential that all candidates applying have a minimum 3 years proven UK work experience. Sponsorship will not be available for this position. Our Client is looking for a Mandarin Speaker Internal Auditor to join their small team on a permanent basis. This position is full time in office, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Plan, manage, and oversee audits, including determining audit objectives and scope, identifying and assessing risks, developing budgets and audit programs, and ensuring compliance with Internal Audit methodology for each audit.
  • To lead on audits and other investigative reviews, covering all aspects of the end to end audit life cycle, including planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting.
  • To act as effective liaison, sharing best practices and providing required reporting on audit activity and status.
  • Assist in the development and completion of the annual audit plan, execution, monitoring, and risk assessment.
  • Analyse/evaluate results of audits performed and develop recommendations to correct deficiencies.
  • On an ad-hoc basis, representing the department in attending governance committee and other meetings.
  • Develop and implement the IAD continuous monitoring programme.
  • Provide training, coaching, relationship management and review of available documentation.
  • Produce reports for each assignment including agreed management actions with realistic agreed timescales for implementation.
  • Laise with auditees at all stages of the audit, towards agreeing issues and developing and obtaining support for recommended remedial actions.
  • To work with any outsourced Internal Audit resources (where applicable), external auditors, Risk and Compliance Departments (in respect of their assurance role).

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • The ability to communicate both orally and in writing, in both English and Mandarin is an essential requirement for the role.
  • A recognized accountancy or internal audit qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, or IIA.
  • Experienced internal auditor including strong exposure to Banking. E.g. Treasury, Corporate Banking, Credit, Compliance (including Financial Crime), Legal and support functions to FCA/PRA standards.
  • Experience in and a detailed understanding of the activities and the products traded by the Bank (Wholesale Banking activities).
  • A broad and detailed knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, identification of risks and mitigating controls, designing and implementing tests of key controls, and sampling methods involved in conducting audits.
  • An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
