Job Description

It is essential that candidates have UK Banking experience and Farsi would be an advantage.\\nOur client is looking for a Farsi Speaker Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.\\nPrime responsibilities are to assist in the efficient running of the department to include the performance of key periodic accounting, control and reporting functions are carried accurately and within agreed deadlines.\\nResponsibilities (not limited to):\\n• Preparation of the daily P&L and balance sheet (snapshot) and circulation to management.\\n• Preparation of nostro reconciliations daily, weekly as required.\\n• Preparation of all internal account reconciliations monthly (with weekly monitoring).\\n• Preparation and posting of all daily journals.\\n• Preparation and posting of all standing orders.\\n• Conduct the month end processes, including updating the fixed asset register and preparation of journals for depreciation, accruals and prepayments.\\n• Preparation of operational risk report (aged debtors and creditors) for the Risk department.\\n• Prepare the monthly management accounts within agreed timescales.\\n• Collation of invoices for the transmission to the Bank accountants for the quarterly VAT return.\\nQualifications and Experience:\\n• AAT or part qualified ACCA or CIMA\\n• Good Excel skills are essential particularly in using pivot tables.\\n• Good experience and understanding of double entry book-keeping and reconciliation procedures\\n• Experience of working in a finance team in a small Bank.\\n• Knowledge of UK regulatory reporting requirements.\\n• Farsi speaker (useful but not essential).\\nFor more information on this role please contact Judith Webb by sending your CV quoting ref 16880JW
