The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years proven work experience within a similar shipping/logistics role within commodities or a similar environment. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office, 2 days WFH.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Working with the Manager to provide logistic support to the trading team
  • Liaising with overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and colleagues
  • Monitoring shipments, agreements and all related documentation
  • Checking & processing invoices for payment and liaising with the Accounts team
  • Timely and accurate entering of data to in-house system
  • Stock management – reconciliation of stock confirmation with in-house system
  • Position keeping

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to Degree level in business or any related field
  • Minimum of 3 years proven work experience within a similar shipping/logistics role within commodities or a similar environment
  • Familiarisation with warehousing/freight and knowledge of demurrage/detention claims
  • Excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills together with excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
