Our longâstanding UK Banking client is seeking an experienced Deputy Branch Manager to join their London team on a fullâtime permanent basis. This is a key leadership role supporting the smooth, compliant, and customerâfocused running of the branch.
The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years' experience in a similar position within Private Banking or Retail Banking, with strong exposure to credit oversight, customer relationship management, and regulatory compliance. Fluent Arabic is essential.
- Strengthen and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers, including HNW clients.
- Oversee the efficient, compliant operation of all departments within the branch.
- Supervise the Customer Services and Credit teams, ensuring high service standards.
- Ensure all account opening, KYC, and due diligence processes are accurate and up to date.
- Lead oversight of the Credit function, including risk evaluation, credit applications, reviews, and attendance at credit meetings.
- Ensure all business activities adhere to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Review and recommend updates to operating procedures; monitor market and regulatory developments and brief senior management.
- Maintain daily liaison with internal departments to ensure smooth operational performance.
- Participate in the Management Committee, monitoring liquidity, interest rates, FX activity, and regulatory obligations (FCA, Bank of England, Head Office).
- Ensure Operations, Compliance, and Accounting functions follow all standing instructions and internal controls.
- Support internal audits, ensuring timely responses and implementation of recommendations.
- Act as Deputy to the Country Manager during periods of absence.
- Oversee legal matters affecting the branch in coordination with senior management.
- Monitor and resolve internal and external customer issues, ensuring prompt and appropriate action.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Deputy Manager, Branch Manager, or similar leadership role within Private or Retail Banking.
Strong understanding of FCA and/or PRA regulatory requirements.
Proven experience managing HNW client relationships.
Fluent Arabic speaker (essential).
Strong leadership, communication, and operational oversight skills.
