We are partnering with a well-established international bank in the City of London to hire a Credit Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a highly hands-on role within a small, close-knit team. You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership across the full credit lifecycle and getting involved wherever needed — this is not a siloed environment.
Please note:
- This role will suit candidates used to working in smaller banks or lean teams.
- It is not suited to candidates from large, highly structured banks where responsibilities are narrowly defined.
- 5 days per week in the office (City of London).
- No visa sponsorship available.
- You must have prior UK banking experience in a Credit Analyst role.
The Role
You will support the Credit & Marketing Manager in managing client relationships and delivering all core credit and marketing activities across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and support new business opportunities.
- Prepare credit applications for Credit Committee and Head Office.
- Respond to queries from internal stakeholders including Head Office.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, following up on information and requests.
- Liaise with Credit Administration and external lawyers to ensure facility agreements are executed correctly.
- Produce departmental reports for management and Head Office.
- Plan and attend client meetings, including renewal discussions.
- Conduct credit reviews of existing clients.
- Complete all KYC/CDD documentation for lending activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files.
- Support the wider team with additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst within a UK bank.
- Strong credit analysis skills across lending products.
- Experience preparing facility agreements.
- Ability to manage end-to-end credit processes.
- Confident working directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves.”
