Working in the bar team you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high class bar operation. You will lead our 6 bars in the venue, helping to serve welcome drinks and cocktails for party bookings, and draught beers and soft drinks for those taking a break in their CUBE journey.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading a top-quality bar service.
- Supervising multiple bar teams on shift, ensuring service meets the company standard.
- Serving drinks and cocktails with enthusiasm, engaging with customers.
- Monitor and rotate stock to reduce wastage.
- Ensuring a clean and presentable service area at all times; clearing tables of empty glasses, wiping down menus and bar surfaces.
- Rotating staff as required during shifts according to customer flow.
- Helping to organise shifts and rotas for staff with fairness and sufficient time to plan.
- Dealing with customer and equipment issues, escalating to the correct manager if required.
- Assist in setting up; stocking up bottles and garnishes.
- Helping to close the bar, deep cleaning the area and putting away all tools.
- Deputise in the absence of the Bar Manager.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all staff members’ training is completed in a timely manner.
- Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company processes.
- Design and implement new procedures as directed by senior team.
- Onboarding and training of newer members of the team.
- Fire Marshall and First Aid responsibilities.
Skills
- Technical
- 5 years of Bar experience.
- Experience leading large teams including some back office responsibilities.
- High volume bar operation experience with independent work.
- Experience working in venues with multiple bars.
- Experience opening and closing service areas.
- Cocktail making and premium drink mixing.
- Accurate free-pouring ability.
- Experience training new bar staff members.
- Personal License.
