Ambrosia is looking for an experienced, confident and passionate Bar Manager / Head Bartender to take the lead behind the bar and help run our Richmond venue. This is a hands-on role for someone who can make exceptional cocktails while also taking responsibility for the smooth running of the bar during their shifts.

As our Bar Manager / Head Bartender, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the bar and running shifts from Wednesday to Saturday
  • Preparing cocktails quickly, consistently and to a high standard
  • Leading and supporting the bar team during busy services
  • Maintaining excellent standards of customer service
  • Opening and closing the venue
  • Cashing up and end-of-night procedures
  • Monitoring stock levels and keeping the bar organised
  • Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and service standards
  • Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere and bringing energy to the venue
  • Taking ownership of the bar when on shift

You'll need strong previous cocktail and bartending experience, along with the confidence to take charge of a shift. We want someone who is:

  • Experienced and confident behind the bar
  • A natural leader who can motivate a small team
  • Calm and organised during busy Friday and Saturday nights
  • Friendly, professional and great with customers
  • Reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for the venue
