Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all bar operations, ensuring high standards of beverage preparation and service.
  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic and signature cocktails, wines, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and service standards.
  • Manage bar inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste control, to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, anticipating guest needs, offering informed recommendations, and handling inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and the wider front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow and a cohesive guest experience.
  • Accurately process payments and handle cash and card transactions.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior bar staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven and significant experience as a Bartender, with leadership or Head Bartender responsibilities, ideally within a busy restaurant or upscale hospitality setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of beverage preparation, classic and contemporary cocktails, and a strong understanding of wine and spirits.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a friendly and engaging personality.
  • Ability to lead efficiently and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service excellence.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
