We are seeking an experienced and driven Bar Manager to lead our team at Mimosa and oversee daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, strong financial performance, and a well-run, compliant venue. Key Responsibilities Staff Management
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, and train bar staff
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment
Customer Service
- Ensure a consistently high standard of customer satisfaction
- Promptly and professionally address customer complaints and inquiries
- Implement and train staff on customer service protocols and standards
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including menu planning and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor product quality and presentation standards
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the bar's budget, including revenue and expenses
- Analyse financial reports and implement strategies to boost profitability
- Manage payroll and maintain accurate bookkeeping
Marketing & Promotion
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and build the venue's profile
- Plan and coordinate promotional events and special offerings
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing on goods and services
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records and report on performance to senior management
- Ensure full compliance with local and national laws on food/drink service and employment
Strategic Planning
- Work with senior management to develop long-term goals and growth strategies
- Stay current on industry trends and the competitive landscape
Qualifications
- Level 3 Health & Safety First Aid Certificate (essential)
- Proven experience in bar or hospitality management
- Strong leadership, financial, and organisational skills
