Salary: £38,000 – £41,000 + up to 25% bonus

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house team at Bar + Block Portsmouth Dockyard — a vibrant steakhouse restaurant in one of the South Coast’s most iconic waterfront destinations.

Reporting to the General Manager

You’ll work closely with a General Manager and be fully equipped to support your success. Together, you’ll lead a high-performing team and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What you’ll be doing

As Kitchen Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the kitchen — leading a talented team, driving performance, and delivering exceptional food experiences.

You’ll:

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of kitchen team members
• Lead with energy and clarity, motivating your team through daily briefs
• Manage stock, food margins, and kitchen audits to high standards
• Deliver dishes to spec and brand standards
• Drive performance through coaching and regular one-to-ones
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
