Bartender – Castle Hotel, Windsor – £12.81 p/h plus TRONC and superb benefits. Start date: June 2026. The Castle Hotel Windsor is a landmark hotel on Windsor High Street, directly opposite Windsor Castle and at the heart of the town’s historic and royal setting. Positioned as The Original Local, we combine deep local knowledge with warm, confident hospitality for guests from around the world. With significant investment underway, the hotel has newly refurbished rooms and a new restaurant and bar concept celebrating heritage and locally sourced produce.

As part of Sir Richard Sutton Ltd, a family‑owned business, the hotel offers the opportunity to grow within an organisation committed to excellence, people development and building a beautiful legacy for the future. We aim to create environments where teams feel supported, trusted and proud of the experience they create together.

About the role: Join the opening team at Pennington’s, a brand‑new British brasserie opening soon within the historic Castle Hotel. We’re looking for charismatic, energetic bartenders to set the standard from day one. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, love creating memorable guest experiences, and have a passion for great drinks and hospitality, we want to hear from you.

As a Bartender at Pennington’s, you won’t just be pouring drinks — you’ll be a key part of the atmosphere and experience that brings guests back time and time again. You’ll be:

  • Crafting the Experience: Preparing and serving cocktails, wines, beers, and classic drinks with consistency and flair.
  • Delivering Excellence: Providing warm, attentive service in a stylish, high‑energy brasserie environment.
  • Knowing Your Craft: Learning our drinks menu, wine list, and seasonal offerings inside out to make confident recommendations.
  • Building the Vibe: Creating a welcoming bar atmosphere for locals, hotel guests, and visitors alike.
  • Working as One Team: Collaborating closely with the floor and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service throughout every shift.

What We’re Looking For: You’re a natural people person with a positive, can‑do attitude. Previous experience behind a busy bar, in an independent restaurant, brasserie, or hospitality venue is a big plus – but great energy and work ethic matter just as much. You stay calm under pressure and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment. Passionate about cocktails, wine, spirits, and delivering great hospitality. Comfortable working a mix of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Our Benefits: Free and discounted hotel breaks – From the first day of service you can benefit from a free break of one or two days in any Sutton Hotel Collection hotel within a 12‑month period. You, your family and your friends are also entitled to discounted stays across all of our hotels and dining in our restaurants. Heka benefits platform – Access begins from day one and is pre‑loaded with a balance of £150 to use against a wide range of wellness‑focused products, experiences and schemes including health cash plans and gym memberships. Salary sacrifice schemes including cycle‑to‑work, tech and electric vehicles (T&Cs apply). Enhanced maternity and paternity leave – 26 weeks at 90% for expectant mothers, four weeks at 90% for fathers. Loyalty awards, annual social and celebration events. Learning and development – An extensive range of training opportunities are available to facilitate your personal development. Wisdom wellbeing – A confidential service offering C‑therapy, up‑to‑date information, support and advice on a broad range of subjects. Subsidised learning courses – We encourage your learning and development, so we would like to contribute to courses you would like us to explore. We also provide basic benefits such as free nutritious and tasty meals on duty, complimentary on‑site parking (where available), and bespoke uniforms where appropriate.
