Permanent Fulltime Position Monday to Friday split across the Hunter Hub’s 2 sites (Wallsend and Windale). About the Role:
As the Pathways Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership and hub oversight to a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated, person-centred support to people experiencing disadvantage, vulnerability and social marginalisation. Working within Community Services & Housing, you will lead with BaptistCare’s values and best practice principles, supporting employees, students and volunteers to deliver high-quality outcomes for the communities we serve.
About You:
You’re a confident and compassionate leader with community services experience, strong people skills and a passion for supporting vulnerable communities. You bring sound judgement, a collaborative approach and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, community-based environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or post grad qualifications in Community Development, Social work or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years working in a Community Services environment and Community Development
- Mental Health First Aid accreditation, Trauma Informed Care training (or willingness to participate in training)
- Ability to work within an integrated approach that is person centred and includes strengths base, narrative
- A current and valid Working with Children Check
Essential Competencies:
- Ability in creating, developing and implementing program plans within the Best Practice Frameworks of the Community Service Sector.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
