About the role:

BaptistCare is seeking a dedicated Maintenance & Property Team Leader to join us on a max term, full-time basis, covering a 6-month parental leave period. This role is based at our Watermark Village campus in Wagga Wagga, with an ideal start date of 1 October. Standard hours are 8am to 4pm. Part-time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate, with a minimum of 3 days per week. Days can be spread flexibly across the week, but must include Monday and Tuesday to manage bin collection duties.

Reporting to the Site Manager, with a dotted line to the Area Manager, you will provide quality property support and maintenance services to all customers, whilst ensuring BaptistCare assets are maintained to the highest standard. This diverse hands-on role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and involves the general upkeep of the buildings, plant & equipment, furniture fittings, gardens, lawns and carparks, as well as liaising with the Area Manager and supervising contractors, tradespersons and suppliers as required. This role includes the administrative aspects of Maintenance for the site, so computer literacy and comfort using different online systems is required.

There may also be the opportunity for the right candidate to be considered for an ongoing Maintenance Supervisor position at our nearby The Grange Village (approximately 10 minutes from Watermark), which will be advertised separately in due course.

Salary: Salary of $90,757 per annum (including superannuation), depending on skills and experience, plus generous tax-free salary packaging.

About you:

  • A trade qualification with a minimum 12-month trade experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing preventative and reactive maintenance systems
  • Experience in an Aged Care, Retirement Village or Health Care environment preferred
  • Experience managing/supervising contractors and/or staff
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Good understanding of Work, Health and Safety practice
  • Sound computer literacy skills
  • Passion for helping others, supporting the elderly and making a positive impact
