About the role: As the Care Service Employee - Lifestyle Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents’ choices and independence. In running recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.
We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $32.61 - $39.13/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.
Skills and experience:
- You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete).
- Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable).
- You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers License and will be able to take clients on outings.
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential.
- You have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting.
- You have highly developed organisation and time management skills.
- You have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.
