As a Facility Cook, you will play a meaningful role in enriching the daily lives of our residents through fresh, nutritious and thoughtfully prepared meals. This is more than cooking. It is about care, dignity and community.

About the Role

As a Facility Cook, you will support residents to live well by delivering meals that are not only nutritionally balanced, but also enjoyable and beautifully presented. Working closely with the Chef Manager and kitchen team, you will help ensure high standards of food safety, service and compliance and step up confidently when the Chef Manager is away. This is a full time Facility Cook role based at Kintyre Lodge in Dubbo with shifts Saturday - Wednesday - 09.30 - 5.30pm.

We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $30.34 - $34.89/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.

About You

  • Experience in leading and coordinating kitchen staff.
  • Ability to present food attractively and appetisingly.
  • Sound knowledge of economic food management, ordering, and stocktaking.
  • Experience in commercial cooking for large numbers.
  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Desire to work with the elderly within our shared values.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery/ Hospitality or relevant Trade qualifications.
