About the Role:
Located in the peaceful Macarthur region of Sydney, BaptistCare Glendale Lodge is a brand-new aged care home designed to feel just like home. With 96 private bedrooms thoughtfully arranged into cozy households of just 16 residents each, our home-style model fosters warmth, comfort and meaningful relationships.
As a Carer, you'll enhance residents' lives through compassionate and respectful care. You'll build personal connections, uphold their dignity and work closely with our supportive care team to deliver attentive and consistent service.
Duties may include:
- Demonstrating kindness and respect for the resident's dignity as you assist with personal and daily care and activities of interest to the individual in accordance with care plans (which may include showering, shaving, storing clothes, general cleaning, assistance with meals, and general movements throughout the day).
- Assistance with activities under supervision.
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love.
About You:
- Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care Work or undertaking Undergraduate Registered Nurse training.
- Be physically able to carry out required duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Have basic technology/computer skills and a willingness to take part in ongoing education.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Genuine desire to help others.
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and promote the organisation's values through interactions at work.
