Casual position available with AM, PM and Night shifts.

Your Role: As a Care Service Employee, you will enable individuals to live well by showing loving care in all that you do. You will develop genuine connections and make a meaningful difference that supports the well-being of each resident.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Working in partnership with residents to achieve their goals by assisting with the implementation of their individual care plans.
  • Demonstrating kindness and respect for the resident’s dignity as you assist with personal and daily care, and activities of interest to the individual (which may include showering, shaving, storing clothes, general cleaning, assistance with meals, and general movements throughout the day).
  • Encouraging individual choice through an appreciation and understanding of the things that matter to your residents and their families.
  • Providing regular feedback to your supervisor or the manager on the resident’s progress, new requests, changes, or any concerns.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care Work or undertaking Undergraduate Registered Nurse training.
  • Be physically able to carry out required duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Have basic technology/computer skills and a willingness to take part in ongoing education.
  • Be able to understand verbal and written communication in English.
  • Have the ability to communicate with residents, families, and team members.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work.
