About the Role:
Located in the peaceful Macarthur region of Sydney, BaptistCare Glendale Lodge is a brand-new aged care home designed to feel just like home. With 96 private bedrooms thoughtfully arranged into cozy households of just 16 residents each, our home-style model fosters warmth, comfort and meaningful relationships. As a Carer, you will enhance residents' lives with compassionate care. By understanding their needs and preferences, you create meaningful connections that support their well-being. You will assist with personal and daily care, maintaining dignity and respecting routines, with the support of your team. We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $31.13 - $34.59/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.
Duties may include:
- Assistance with a wide range of person-centered care in accordance with care plans.
- Assistance with medication and simple wound dressing.
- Assistance with activities under supervision.
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love.
About You:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Be physically able to carry out required duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- A born listener, you’re genuinely curious to know and understand people.
- Your care skills are driven by compassion, and your positive attitude is contagious.
- You rally your team, even on challenging days, to problem solve, connect and overcome.
