We are looking to add a Medical Assistant to the Baptist Primary Care St. Johns Bluff office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. The position is for a Float Medical Assistant for the office and will be performing front and back-office duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Uses excellent customer service skills
Experience Requirements:
- 2 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
Education & Credential Requirements (Required/Preferred):
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
Background Screening:
Positions requiring a Level II Background Screen will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
License and Certification:
- Driver's License - DMV
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
- Certified Medical Assistant - any credentialing institution
