Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Baptist Primary Care Beachwalk office in St. Johns, Florida. This is a full‑time opportunity, Monday‑Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The experienced candidate will perform back‑office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting provider.
Responsibilities- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Rooms patients and completes tests
- Handles phone triage, takes messages, returns calls
- Discharges and schedules next visits
- 1–2 years of patient care experience
- Experience in a physician’s office
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associate of Arts/Science preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
- Driver’s License – DMV
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
- Certified Medical Assistant – any credentialing institution
Positions designated as requiring a Level II Background (detailed fingerprint‑based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
