This role provides accountability and coordination within the designated area of responsibility.
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
LOCATION: On-site at Baptist Health Princeton Hospital. Willingness to travel periodically to Brookwood and Shelby Hospitals during the 8-12 weeks of orientation is required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external facilities and agencies to ensure protocols align with evidence-based guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Participate in budget preparation and committee activities as assigned.
- Utilize evidence-based practices for effective problem identification and resolution.
- Serve as a role model demonstrating expertise in patient care.
- Act as a patient advocate in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Focus on educational growth for patients, families, team members, and oneself.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development principles, tailoring interventions to cultural needs.
- Promote organizational collaboration through participation in programs, committees, and projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Manage human resources functions, including hiring, assignments, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance per hospital policies and legal standards.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
- Coordinate process improvement activities.
- Act as a liaison between administration, medical staff, and team members.
- Oversee staff development, risk management, policies, safety, and infection control issues.
- Analyze and interpret data.
- Build interpersonal relationships through effective communication and team-building strategies.
- Provide care in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Education/Training
Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a bachelor’s degree or higher, or from an accredited program in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. Alternatively, an associate degree or graduation from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, or COTA is acceptable.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification: Current RN, SLP-CCC, PT, PTA, OT, or COTA license in the state.
Experience: At least three (3) years’ experience in nursing, including two years of clinical experience. Highly Preferred: ICU, ER, or Stroke Coordinator inpatient experience.
