Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a qualified nurse to administer patient care in an inpatient or observation setting, focusing on acute care patients receiving active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post-intervention assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop or revise individualized care plans based on patient responses.
  • Evaluate patient progress towards expected outcomes.
  • Respect diversity by building respectful relationships with team members and patients.
  • Act as a patient and family advocate.
  • Provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician as needed.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams for effective care planning.
  • Model professional behavior and support hospital and nursing goals.
  • Apply principles of growth and development to assess patient data and meet age-specific needs.
  • Coordinate and delegate care tasks appropriately within the team.
  • Document care accurately, including assessments, education, medication administration, and safety measures.
  • Demonstrate competency with nursing skills and equipment.
  • Prioritise patient care according to Evidence-Based Practice Standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • Delegate tasks considering patient needs and team member capabilities.

  • Be aware of legal issues and patient rights.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Meet all competency requirements for Orlando Health and the specific department.
  • Current Alabama RN license or valid multistate eNLC RN license.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications required for certain areas.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required unless approved by AVP or higher.
