Position Summary
Baptist Health Princeton Hospital
Administers patient care in an inpatient or observation setting, providing active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post-intervention assessments.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Assess patient needs and develop/revise individualized care plans; evaluate patient progress towards expected outcomes.
- Respect diversity and build respectful relationships with team members and patients.
- Advocate for patients and their families.
- Provide age-appropriate care based on knowledge and skills for the patient population served.
- Serve as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician as needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team for effective planning and management.

- Demonstrate understanding of growth and development principles, assess patient data, and interpret information relevant to age-specific needs.

- Demonstrate age-appropriate care and ability to manage urgent/emergent situations remotely.
Hospital Care at Home (In-home Nursing)
- Administer direct patient care in the home setting for acute conditions.
- Assess patient needs and contribute to care planning.
- Travel to patient homes within designated regions.
- Coordinate with virtual and support staff to deliver care.
- Use in-home virtual technology for patient assessments and care delivery.
- Transport items, equipment, and medications as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Training
- Graduate of an approved nursing program.
- Meet all competency requirements for Orlando Health and specific department.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Alabama RN license or valid multistate license.
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain units; NRP for NICU.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation for home visits.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience unless approved otherwise.
- Two years of acute care nursing experience required for Hospital Care at Home.
