BAPON Technologies is seeking a GE Vernova PowerOn Engineer for a hybrid contract role. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of business-critical Operational Technology (OT) applications. You’ll act as a technical authority across infrastructure, application upgrades, and system performance, while supporting both operational stability and future development.
Key Responsibilities- Drive continuous performance improvements across critical OT applications
- Enhance system monitoring and management to reduce faults and service disruption
- Develop and maintain a Strategic Asset Management Plan for OT applications and infrastructure
- Act as the design authority for changes to OT infrastructure
- Collaborate with application vendors, internal IT teams, network providers, and customers
- Review, test, and approve architectural changes across Platinum, Gold, and Silver OT applications
- Approve Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) for infrastructure changes
- Authorise system upgrades and transitions into support
- Make key go/no-go decisions for critical deployments
- Support and develop RTS Technical Engineers
- Ensure engineers have the knowledge required to deliver effective support and project services
- Foster a strong technical learning environment
- Maintain deep expertise across key OT platforms, including PowerOn, PI, and ODMS
- Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and best practices
- Participate in industry and technical forums
- Lead and support investigation of major system incidents
- Mentor engineers in fault diagnosis and resolution
- Work with internal and external providers to resolve issues within SLA commitments
- 5+ years’ experience in operations, configuration, and support of GE Vernova PowerOn Advantage (ADMS)
- Strong experience in OT systems within critical infrastructure environments
- Project Experience In: PowerOn Outage Management System (OMS) integration
- Strong stakeholder collaboration across technical and business teams
- Experience working in regulated or utility environments
- Ability to make high-impact technical decisions under pressure
- Improved system reliability and reduced service disruption
- Smooth delivery of upgrades and infrastructure changes
- Strong technical capability across the engineering team
- Clear technical standards and well-managed OT environments
