BAO City is looking for a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team and help deliver high-quality, consistent dishes with care and precision. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in the details and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

The Restaurant

Our Bloomberg Arcade restaurant is home to BAO’s flagship karaoke experience with two private KTV rooms bringing the spirit of Taipei’s nightlife into the heart of the City. The dining room sits between them, buzzing with energy from weekday lunch through to late-night feasting. Unique to this location are our sharing bao platters, designed for group dining with bold, playful service.

The Position

At BAO, we believe in doing things properly - from the way we prep our ingredients to how every dish leaves the pass. As Chef de Partie, you’ll be responsible for running your section with confidence, maintaining our standards, and supporting the smooth flow of service. You’ll work closely with the senior kitchen team to ensure everything is prepped, organised, and cooked to the highest standard. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to learn, grow, and take ownership of your craft.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Running your section during service and ensuring consistency in every dish
  • Prepping and cooking to BAO standards, with strong attention to detail
  • Working cleanly and efficiently to keep service flowing smoothly
  • Supporting junior team members and communicating clearly with the pass
  • Keeping your section organised and on top of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Taking ownership of your prep list and contributing to team success
