About WIZE
WIZE is the leading all-in-one Portfolio Management System for Swiss boutique wealth managers, External Asset Managers, and family offices.
Founded in Geneva in 2010, WIZE has earned a trusted position in a relationship-driven market through deep product capability and a differentiated back-office outsourcing service that competitors have not replicated.
The company operates on a highly recurring subscription model, holds a strong position within its vertical, and is in excellent operating shape.
WIZE is now entering its first chapter of international ownership under Banyan Software, combining more than fifteen years of product depth and client trust with the operational and AI expertise of a global software group.
The Opportunity
You will join WIZE directly as Managing Director,
United Kingdom, reporting to the CEO of WIZE, with responsibility for establishing and growing the UK business.
This is a value-creation mandate, not a turnaround. .
You will take the business into a new market, with the United Kingdom as the primary prize.
The product has to remain the primary competitive advantage, the recurring revenue base has to be protected, and the opportunity to create structural distance through AI is real.
You will own the UK client and partner relationships, build the commercial motion from the ground up, and partner with the CEO and product and technology leader to ensure the platform addresses the needs of the UK market.
You will have substantial authority over the execution of the agreed UK strategy.
Key commercial development decisions, including market positioning, target segments, pricing, partnerships, resource allocation, and major commercial commitments, will be decided jointly with the CEO.
You will do this with the long-term backing of a permanent-capital owner, free from the pressure to flip the business.

- Own the execution of WIZE's UK strategy, market positioning, and competitive response in the wealth management software market.

- Develop and deepen strategic partnerships across private banks, discretionary fund managers, and the wider UK wealth management ecosystem.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to expand the company's footprint within existing UK

- Product & Technology
- Represent the needs of the UK market in product roadmap discussions, ensuring that market feedback reflects the needs of boutique wealth managers and the competitive dynamics of the Portfolio Management Systems market.
- Contribute to a credible AI roadmap. AI must be embedded as a genuine operational and product advantage, not a roadmap line item.
- Champion AI-first product thinking, identifying where automation, predictive insights, and intelligent workflows create durable differentiation for UK clients.
- Partner closely with the CEO and CPTO so that the roadmap, packaging, and pricing tiers align tightly with UK commercial needs.
- Gather structured feedback from UK prospects, clients, and partners and translate it into clear commercial and product recommendations.
- Team & Operations
- Define and implement the UK commercial development strategy jointly with the CEO.
- Oversee the UK financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable profitability.
Prepare and manage the UK commercial budget and resource plan, subject to approval by the CEO and Chief Revenue Officer, to ensure sustainable growth.
- Manage risk across operations, contracts, and market dynamics; respond decisively to changes in the competitive or regulatory landscape
- Build and lead a high-performing UK sales team, elevating talent density and making hard calls on underperformance with speed and directness, while protecting the trust-based culture that makes WIZE what it is.
- Establish decision rights, execution cadences, and accountability frameworks that enable the business to sustain higher growth.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with the CEO on business performance, strategic priorities, pipeline development, and market conditions.
- Coordinate closely with WIZE's Geneva-based product, technology, implementation, client service, compliance, and operational teams.
- What We Are Looking For
The Managing Director we are looking for is a commercially-led Wealth Tech operator with deep roots in the UK wealth management software market who leads with an AI-first mindset and is energised by the opportunity to create real, lasting business value.
You have personally owned a revenue number, built a commercial motion where none existed, and opened a new geography from scratch.
You have held senior commercial responsibility at a software company serving wealth managers, private banks, or asset managers, with a track record of treating product as a primary strategic lever, closing complex, relationship-driven deals at a senior level, and leading your organisation through at least one meaningful inflexion point.
You proactively reposition ahead of market pressure, make difficult commercial and talent decisions for the long-term health of the business, and understand how to grow recurring revenue and protect the retention that sustains durability.
This is a value-creating enterprise Saa S leader who sees AI not as a feature but as a structural advantage embedded in how they sell, operate, and create enduring competitive distance for the businesses they lead.
Qualifications for Success
- Owned the P&L or revenue number of a B2B Saa S, Fin Tech, or vertical software business, with direct accountability for revenue growth, retention, and margin expansion.
- 7–10+ years of senior commercial leadership at a software or technology company, including direct responsibility for selling to, managing, or delivering to wealth managers, private banks, or asset managers.
- Direct experience in wealth management software or Portfolio Management Systems, or adjacent Fin Tech / Wealth Tech.
Experience at a direct competitor carries immediate credibility with prospects and partners.
- Deep knowledge of the UK wealth management ecosystem (private banks, discretionary fund managers, IFAs, and External Asset Managers) and existing relationships with key buyers and influencers.
Ideally, UK-based or strongly tied to the UK.
- Has built a go-to-market motion in a new geography: hiring local talent, establishing partnerships, and opening a market.
- Has led an organisation through a meaningful inflexion point, such as a competitive situation, building a business from scratch, pricing repositioning, or commercial professionalisation.
- Demonstrated AI conviction: shipped product capability, embedded operational tooling, or led sustained AI experimentation with clear conviction about where it creates durable value.
- Comfortable building and leading a local commercial operation within a company of roughly 30 to 80 people in an investor-backed setting.
- Able to operate entrepreneurially while working within a jointly agreed strategy and governance framework.
- Fluent English is essential. French is a significant advantage given the Geneva headquarters and Swiss relationships.
- Based in the UK, ideally within reach of London, and able to commit to regular on-site presence in Geneva.
