Henry Boot is one of the UK’s leading land, property development and home building businesses, renowned for transforming land and spaces. Founded in Sheffield in 1886, Henry Boot was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1919. Today, our reputation is built on quality, expertise, delivery and a partnership approach. We focus on three long-term growth markets: residential, industrial and logistics, and urban development. Our group of businesses consists of Banner Plant, Hallam Land, HBD, Road Link and Stonebridge. Together, we are where great places start.
We're investing in the technology, security and infrastructure that will support our future growth, and we're looking for an IT Security Advisor to play a key role in that journey. This is more than a security role. It's an opportunity to influence how a leading UK property, development and construction group protects its people, systems and information while embracing modern technology and innovation.
As our IT Security Advisor, you'll be at the centre of protecting and improving our technology environment across the Group. You'll work with colleagues, stakeholders and specialist partners to ensure our systems remain secure, resilient and ready for the future. You'll lead on security operations, respond to incidents, manage vulnerabilities and help strengthen our overall security posture. Alongside this, you'll contribute to infrastructure improvements, security projects and the development of our longer-term technology roadmap. Whether you're investigating a cyber threat, improving endpoint security, advising stakeholders or supporting cloud-first initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across the business.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a practical, business-focused approach. You'll likely have experience in IT infrastructure, cyber security, vulnerability management or security operations and be confident working with a range of technologies including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra/Azure and endpoint management platforms. Just as importantly, you'll be someone who:
- Enjoys solving complex problems
- Can communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Builds strong relationships and collaborates effectively
- Takes ownership and drives continuous improvement
- Balances security requirements with business needs
