We’re currently looking to hire a Senior Cash Management Specialist to join L&G Asset Management on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. As Senior Cash Management Specialist you will have senior oversight of the outsourced functions for Cash & Stock reconciliations, overdrafts, interest claims & other cash related functions. Working collaboratively within the team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, delivering excellent client service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and improving a strong reconciliation oversight function leveraging Data and MI.
- Liaising daily with internal teams and external counterparties to address general cash‑related queries.
- Owning and resolving high‑value, high‑risk, and sensitive client breaks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Overseeing the outsourced overdraft processes and improving overdraft monitoring to reduce overdrafts and associated costs, as well as managing interest claims for fails, overdrafts, and CSDR penalty fees.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines and regulations, including ISITC, CSDR, and CASS.
- Managing tasks end‑to‑end, investigating and resolving issues, and reporting inconsistencies as appropriate.
- Reviewing processes to identify potential improvements, ensuring a well‑controlled environment and a reduction in errors.
- Supporting the team with resolving day‑to‑day operational issues and addressing anomalies to ensure elevated customer service and accurate transactions.
Qualifications:
- Proven cash management experience within either a lead or senior Middle Office or Operations role.
- Familiar with an Outsource provider Operating Model.
- Experience of challenging working practices and adaptability to change.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, automate tasks, enhance analysis, and deliver accurate, high‑quality management reporting and to understand issues and assist with finding innovative solutions to problems.
- Custody/Nostro reconciliation experience.
- Evidence of effective working relationships with stakeholders and excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Understanding of relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Knowledge of an Order Management system i.e. Charles River, would be an advantage.
