Our client is an established technology business and industry leader in RF systems — serving customers across satcom, broadcast, defence and telecoms markets worldwide. Following strong, consistent growth (revenues up over 70% in two years), they are creating a new Sales Director role to own global commercial performance and shape the next chapter of their international expansion.
- Lead a distributed BDM team across UK/EMEA, APAC and the US — coaching, setting direction and driving consistent commercial rhythm.
- Own revenue, gross profit and margin performance for the RF Communications and Test product lines globally.
- Build commercial capability in the US, the largest growth market (~$6m and rising).
- Redesign and strengthen the global channel and VAR partner network.
- Embed Salesforce as a live management tool, improving forecasting and pipeline discipline.
- Collaborate cross-divisionally on system-level opportunities within a broader technology group.
- Travel to key customers and trade shows — this is a visible, field-engaged role (4–5 shows/year).
10+ years in technical B2B sales, ideally in defence, aerospace, telecoms, RF, photonics, test & measurement or adjacent high-technology sectors.
- Commercial confidence: margin awareness, pricing discipline, forecasting fluency.
- Direct RF over fibre experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
