Banner Contracts are one of the UK’s leading crushing and screening contractors, operating throughout the UK from our base near Darlington. We are also authorized main dealers of Sany excavators, SBM crushers & Barford bulk handling equipment. Opportunities currently exist at our headquarters at Darlington as well as in the Midlands and Glasgow.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of engines, hydraulic systems and electrics relevant to heavy plant and machinery is required.
- Steel fabrication skills are advantageous.
- The ability to work to strict health and safety standards is a must.
Duties:
- Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at client sites.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions on-site.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product reliability and performance.
- Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is essential for travel to client locations.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is advantageous.
