Typical Day in the Life of a Membership Advisor:

  • Promote and sell memberships through tours, presentations and follow-ups with prospective members.
  • Conduct engaging and informative tours of the club, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Provide a welcoming and informative experience for all potential and new members.
  • Handle inquiries, appointments and follow‑up calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage the membership sign‑up process, including completing contracts, entering data into the membership system and processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date membership records and ensure confidentiality of member information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and tracking sales metrics.
  • Collaborate with the fitness and customer service teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new members.
  • Participate in member retention activities, such as welcome calls and satisfaction surveys, to enhance member engagement and loyalty.
  • Promote club programs, services and events to current and prospective members.
  • Attend weekly video hangouts to discuss KPI performance in the absence of a Sales Manager.

Previous experience in sales, customer service or a fitness environment with strong sales and negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving targets is desirable. A degree or qualification in sales, marketing or a related field is advantageous.
