A typical day in the life of a Creche Assistant:

  • Create a warm, inclusive, and inviting atmosphere for children and their families.
  • Greet parents and children in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive start to their creche experience.
  • Plan and deliver a variety of activities tailored to different age groups, ranging from creative arts to physical play.
  • Encourage children’s engagement, creativity, and physical development through structured and free play.
  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the creche, ensuring all equipment and facilities are sanitised and ready for use.
  • Set up and pack away activities, leaving the creche prepared for the next session.

  • Build trust and rapport with both parents and children to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.

What we are looking for:

  • Be qualified in Early Years Level 2 or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children in a childcare or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with parents and engage children effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
  • Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in a dynamic environment.

It would be desirable if you were qualified in Level 3 Early Years or an equivalent. It would also be advantageous if you had a Paediatric First Aid Certification.
