We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Procurement Assistant to join our Procurement team at Bannatyne. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills across procurement, supplier management, purchasing, and commercial administration.

Working closely with the Head of Procurement, you will gain practical experience while being supported to build your knowledge and confidence within the world of procurement and supply chain. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our procurement processes, helping ensure our clubs and hotels have the products and services they need to deliver an excellent experience for our members and guests.

As part of this apprenticeship opportunity, you will also complete a recognised apprenticeship programme that aligns with the role and supports your development within the procurement and business environment. You will gain practical, hands‑on experience alongside structured learning, giving you the opportunity to build your knowledge, develop new skills, and work towards a recognised qualification while making a real impact within the team.

A typical day in the life of an Apprentice Procurement Assistant:

  • Assist in the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the Purchase Order (PO) inbox, reviewing club and hotel requests to ensure minimum order quantities are met and preventing excessive stock levels.
  • Operate within a "just in time" stock model due to limited storage capacity across clubs.
  • Help prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of required items.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring clear communication and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Help evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, and delivery reliability, providing feedback to the Head of Procurement.
  • Support the process of onboarding new suppliers, ensuring they meet Bannatyne’s standards and requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to develop procurement skills and knowledge.
  • Apply learning to real‑world procurement tasks and projects, with guidance from the Head of Procurement.
  • Engage in self‑directed learning to understand procurement best practices, tools, and technologies.

  • A-levels or equivalent qualifications.
