A typical day in the life of a Cafe Bar Supervisor:

  • Assist the Cafe Bar Manager in supervising and coordinating the activities of cafe bar staff, including scheduling, training and performance management
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional growth and development
  • Ensure excellent customer service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere enhancing the overall member experience
  • Support the Cafe Bar Manager in daily operations of the cafe bar, ensuring efficient services and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimising waste
  • Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Assist the Cafe Bar Manager in managing the cafe bar budget, controlling costs and maximising profits
  • Handle cash transactions, manage tills and ensure accurate financial records
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe bar, ensuring all areas meet Bannatyne's high standards, conduct regular checks on equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance issues to the relevant department
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional activities to attract members and increase sales
  • Required to support the Club and work Duty Management shifts, being responsible for the club during these shifts

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry or food and beverage industry
  • L2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

It would be desirable if you had proficiency in basic financial management and reporting. It would also be advantageous if you had knowledge of theme nights, party nights and organising member events.
