Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, swimming pool, fitness equipment.
- Monitor and coordinate preventive maintenance contractors to ensure longevity and reliability of equipment.
- Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly, such as fixing leaks, electrical faults and equipment malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot problems and determine the most effective solutions, coordinating with external contractors for certain repairs when necessary.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and club policies.
- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments, reporting hazards or non‑compliance issues to the Maintenance Manager / General Manager.
- Maintain all club areas – gym floors, changing rooms and common areas – clear, orderly and in good repair.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance role.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and good attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driving licence and own vehicle.
- Diploma or vocational qualification in a related field, with experience in plumbing and joinery.
- 17th Edition Electrical qualification or equivalent.
