As Senior Restaurant Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations, mentor and lead the front-of-house team, act as a key liaison for management, and ensure the highest operational standards across our dining, conference, and event spaces

A typical day in the life of a Senior Restaurant Supervisor

  • Lead the daily running of the restaurant, ensuring pristine presentation and consistently high service standards across all shifts.
  • Directly supervise, inspire, and train junior team members and floor staff to foster a high-performing, motivated team.
  • Lead and host private functions, including weddings and corporate events, ensuring custom service delivery and meticulous room setups.
  • Drive upselling strategies for food and beverage offerings to maximize revenue while enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Work closely with the Management team, kitchen staff, and other venue departments to coordinate seamless operations.
  • Oversee health and safety regulations (including COSHH compliance), cleaning schedules, inventory management, and stock rotation.
  • Oversee bar service, stepping in to deliver efficient, high-standard service as required.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all menu items, promotions, and health club/spa facilities to uphold brand standards and exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven supervisory or team leader experience in a high-volume hospitality, restaurant, or hotel events environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating, training, and managing staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with high attention to detail under pressure.
  • Thorough understanding of health & safety regulations and COSHH standards.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

It would be desirable if candidates hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Food Hygiene Certification alongside a valid Personal Licence.

It is also highly desirable for applicants to possess valid certifications in both First Aid and Fire Safety.

Additionally, practical, hands-on experience using hotel management software (PMS) and restaurant point-of-sale systems (POS) will be considered a distinct advantage.
