The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

Take overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation and guest experience. Lead, motivate and develop the restaurant team, providing clear direction, coaching and support to help colleagues perform at their best.

Manage restaurant service during private events, including weddings, celebrations and corporate functions, ensuring a personal and tailored experience for every guest. Work closely with the Management team and other departments to coordinate operations and deliver an exceptional end-to-end guest journey.

Oversee restaurant bookings, table allocations and service requirements, ensuring the team is fully prepared for each service. Maintain excellent product knowledge across all menus, promotions and hotel and spa facilities, ensuring the team can confidently advise guests and maximise sales opportunities.

Monitor and maintain brand and service standards, ensuring guest expectations are consistently met and exceeded. Drive food and beverage sales through effective upselling, promotions and excellent customer service, supporting the achievement of departmental revenue targets.

Monitor operational performance, staffing levels and rotas to ensure the restaurant is appropriately resourced and operating efficiently. Take responsibility for stock control, stock rotation, ordering and wastage, ensuring effective cost management and commercial awareness.

Ensure cleaning schedules, health & safety checks, food safety procedures and compliance standards are maintained at all times. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food service is delivered efficiently, accurately and to the required standards.

Support the wider hotel and hospitality operation when required, helping to ensure a seamless and professional guest experience throughout the venue. Deal confidently and professionally with guest feedback, queries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and escalating where appropriate.

Ensure all team members understand and follow company policies, procedures and relevant licensing, food safety and health & safety requirements. Carry out other duties as required to support the smooth and successful operation of the hotel, restaurant and wider Bannatyne offering.

  • Previous experience in a restaurant management or hospitality management role, ideally within a hotel, restaurant or leisure environment.
  • A confident and inspirational leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience of managing sales, costs, stock and operational performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining consistently high standards.
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety, health & safety and COSHH requirements, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Experience of managing events, functions or banqueting would be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • It would be desirable if you had a Food Hygiene certification and a Personal Licence.
  • It would also be advantageous if you had First Aid and Fire Safety certifications and experience using hotel or restaurant management software.
